The principal of a kindergarten is the leader of a kindergarten and plays a vital role in the quality of kindergarten education.At present,there are few literatures on the leadership of the principals of a kindergarten from home and abroad.Quantitative research based on questionnaires is the main research method in a few studies,but there are few dynamics and individuality studies that concerning the formation and development of the leadership of the Principal of a kindergarten.In view of this,on the basis of combing the relevant literature and clarifying the concepts of "leadership" and "leadership of kindergarten principals",this study adopts the qualitative research method,selects three representative excellent kindergarten principals as the object of long-term follow-up study,and collects data by using observation,interview and physical analysis methods,totally collecting 23 hours audio recordings and recording and transcribing more than 100,000 words of interview data,NVIVO 11 qualitative analysis software was used to code and analyze the collected data.The process and commonalities of the formation and development of the director's leadership were extracted from the bottom to the top,which experienced the formation stage of leadership with power leadership as the dominant factor and the development stage of leadership with non-power leadership as the dominant factor.The generality of the domination periods of kindergarten principal's leadership are the responsibility consciousness given by family education,the responsibility ability for exercised by serving as student leaders and the executive ability formed in youth.The generality of the development periods of the kindergarten principal's leadership are strike balance between obedience and autonomy,move from management depending on rigid system to leading and driving,and coordinate with each other in family and career.From the perspective of ecology theory,this paper analyses the influencing factors of kindergarten principal's leadership.The influencing factors of micro-system are teachers,superior leaders and families.The influencing factors of intermediate system are interpersonal relationships.The influencing factors of external system are the community of kindergarten and public expectation.The influencing factors of macro-system are social culture and education policy.Finally,this paper puts forward the realistic path to enhance the leadership of the principal of a kindergarten from the perspective of internal promotion and external assistance.The path of external assistance of kindergarten principal's leadership is to have a strong sense of purpose,exercise a good ability to resist pressure,improve their moral leadership,and give full play to the characteristics of female leadership;The path of external assistance of kindergarten principal's leadership is trust and decentralization of government by the superior leadership,government provides training leadership platform,parents to actively understand and identify the concept of preschool education and the community provides active cooperative and funding.
