This research attempts to study the current history classroom teaching situation in high schools by kinds of forms such as interviews, questionnaires, cases, etc, seek the solutions to improving the history classroom teaching efficiency in senior highs and offer some references for effective teaching as well as offering some help for the teacher's professional promotion so as to provide students with a better classroom teaching environment.The main body of this article is mainly explained from two respects:Firstly, it analyzes the present situation of the history classroom teaching at Zhangjiagang Senior High by means of interviews, surveys, case analysis and so on. Secondly, it puts forward the tactics of improving the efficiency of the history classroom instruction in senior highs, which includes five aspects:(I) Highlight the characteristics of the history subject to identify the driving force of the history classroom teaching; (II) Focus on the two studies to define the teaching objectives and make sure to get the teaching going with a definite purpose. Focus on the study of the students'learning to keep the teaching in accordance with its special characteristics; Focus on the study of the Curriculum Standard, MET instructions to perform the teaching in the right direction;(III) Create effective instructional designs to stimulate the students' interest by providing varieties of situations so as to achieve breakthroughs in teaching. The teaching should be interesting and situational, with various resources well integrated and with the students well motivated and learning cooperatively; (IV) Discuss the teaching together to improve the teaching methods and call collective wisdom into full pay; (V) Reenforce the teaching reflection and improvement to enhance the sustainable development of the history classroom effective teaching.
