The writings in classic Chinese are a carrier of fine traditions and Chinese culture, meanwhile, the teaching of the classic Chinese is one of the most important parts of Chinese education in junior school. The new additional version of the textbook is more People-Oriented compared to the old one, more focuses on the integrated development of individuals, emphasizes the great importance of teaching the writings in classic Chinese, which will play an important role of advancing and enriching the fine cultural heritage of the nation and also improve the humanistic quality of the youth. In 2001, with Shanghai General Primary and Junior School Curriculum Proposal and a series of criteria's of different subjects carried out, the second-stage curriculum reform started. On the ground of the pervious experience gained from a few certain campus schools, the second-stage curriculum reform has been pushed forward across all the schools in Shanghai in autumn in 2005. Since then, the students from 6th Grade to 9th Grade have started to use the same version of textbooks, which completely dealt with the situation of two versions S textbook and H textbook mixed use in junior schools for 10 years. It is in the year 2009 that the new version of the textbook was fully applied to the senior high school entrance exams.This dissertation has reviewed, analyzed and concluded the task and goal to achieve in the context of new curriculum by comparison the amounts and contents of Classic Chinese poems and articles from the new edition to the old one.In the first chapter, Introduction, the descriptions of thoughts and strategies of Classic Chinese poems and articles teaching by the New Version Textbook will be given as well as the status and significance this topic. A series of methodologies will also be listed in this chapter.In the second Chapter, both the amounts and the contents of the Classic Chinese poems and articles in the old version Textbook and the new one have been brought into comparison, by which it exposits the characteristic of updates of the new version. Based on that, in the meantime, it explains the main objectives of the Classic Chinese poems and articles Teaching, which are to inherit the fine cultural heritage of the nation , to advance and enhance it; to provide ideological education as well as cultivate the students' temperament; make the past serve the present to improve the students' writing abilities. Conclusively, it leads to the main tasks of the new version, particularly, to improve the students' reading ability of Classic Chinese poems and articles; to train those understanding basic Classic Chinese poems and articles; to enhance the students' appreciation of reading.In the third Chapter, the statement of the current status of teaching in the classic Chinese has been analyzed via series questionnaires. Through the analysis, the main reason of why the student's lack of interests in Classic Chinese learning has been found as followings. First of all, the students have no comprehensive understanding of the value and significance of Classic Chinese, which results in the incorrect learning goals. Secondly, no good learning methods have been employed by the students; hence, it increases the difficulty in learning Classic Chinese. On the other hand, the conventional model in teaching Classic Chinese has not been greatly changed, the teaching methods have not been upgraded ; adding on ignorance of the differentiation of the learning affiance from different students, no effective way of teaching, all those factors are the obstacles of class teaching efficiency.In the fourth Chapter, rational thinking towards the Classic Chinese poems and articles teaching is given and the corresponding teaching strategies have been put forward based on the achievements gained from the past. Firstly, Use guiding art in the new teaching classical Chinese poetry in the classroom can stimulate students'interest in learning. By combining teaching lessons with new features of my teaching practice, four effective ways can be employed to guide lessons: suspense style, story type, subject type and multimedia style. Secondly, it should be done to help students to discover aesthetic education in the new teaching of classical Chinese poetry and enhance their aesthetic sensibility. Guide students to cultivate their temperament and improve their aesthetic capability through the factors of beauty in the texts. To create the art environment by the means of music , to explore the inner essence and present the art in the way of finding; to experience the inner beauty by analyzing the good and evil of humanity; to appreciate the art of beauty by leading the imagination far and high. Thirdly, the learning instructions of Classic Chinese poems and articles should be enhanced. In order to improve the students' abilities of reading, understanding Classic Chinese poems and articles, the students should be provided with the methodology of how to read, how to accumulate their memories and how to appreciate those writings. Additionally, the students can learn the feature of the changes and development trend of the new version of the textbook through reviewing the test papers of previous years. They should be taught the methods and regular rules of Classic Chinese exam. Their ability of test-taking can be boosted if they can recite the articles and write them down from memory, fully understand the specific knowledge in different contexts; build up the Classic Chinese general knowledge gradually and practice more. Finally, it is helpful for the students to improve their memories by taking advantage of the Forgetting Curve by Hermann Ebbinghaus .Some additional points have been put forward in the fifth chapter. To admit the students' differentiation, to respect the differentiation, to teach according the differentiation of the students' learning ability, to teach the students in different ways.In conclusion, the classic Chinese teaching in middle school is still at the stage of fumbling. How to develop the way of the teaching should be taken into account by every teacher consistently.
