High school geography teachings under the concept of new curriculum are students lifestyle reconstruction activities based on understand, experience and awareness, but also the activities of self-constructed way of life under the guidance of teachers. Experience teaching is just as the starting point and destination of this. In the practice process, however, the experience teaching is still at the initial trial stage. During the teaching process, many problems will be appeared, and there are no research achievements combining the theory and practice. Therefore, in this essay, as the research object of teaching high school geography, experience teaching in high school geography teaching is also studied from the perspective of scientific research and empirical research.In the first part, it proposes the significance of study experience teaching mainly from the aspects of curriculum standards, teaching and research as well; it also determines the direction and content through the analysis of the study and research status at home and abroad.The second part systematically put forward the concept and characteristics of experience teaching, the significance of experience teaching and experience teaching in high school geography as well. This paper expounds the concept of experience teaching from the perspective of teaching philosophy and teaching methods. Combined with the psychological characteristics of high school students and high school geography features, the significance of a high school geography experience teaching is also proposed.The third part is the analysis and investigation of the current situation of experience teaching in high school geography. It clarifies the current situation of experience teaching mainly from several point of views, such as teacher's Teaching philosophy, students and teachers'attitudes on experience teaching, and problems in high school geography experience teaching.The fourth part explain the strategies of experience teaching in high school geography, mainly from changes of teaching philosophy, the details of creating and classroom situations combined characteristics of high school students and geography.The fifth part, through the specific analysis of two cases of experience teaching, which are "contour map" and "global warming", it draws following conclusions, one is high school geography teachers duties in experience teaching, while high school geography experience teaching is effective and feasible.Finally, the conclusions of this essay are summarized. It analyzes the problems of this study and prospects the fields that are not mentioned in this paper.
