Since the 80s, some provinces and cities have carried out psycho-education on primary and secondary students to improve the psychological diathesis of students. And they have achieved good results. Carrying out psycho-education in primary and secondary schools is not only in the needs of healthy growth of students, but also in the needs of social development. The CPC Central Committee and State Council's Decision on Deepening Education Reform and Promoting Quality Education Comprehensively clearly states that, we should enhance children's psycho-education, cultivate students'indomitable will and spirit of hard work, and boost up their ability to adapt to social life. It can not do without psycho-education to promote the coordinated development of students for school education. And the full launch of the new curriculum reform has provided more opportunities for psycho-education. In view of this, psycho-education has gone into the full implementation stage with the new program, and it has become a fulcrum and an integral part of the new curriculum. Some schools have set up specific psycho-education courses to coach students. But most schools carried out psycho-education in the way of penetrating in subjects.According to the Curriculum Standard for the Moral Lesson and The Politics Lesson in Nine-year Compulsory Education Primary School and Junior High School distributed by the Ministry of Education in 1997, it is a major change on our basic education curriculum to set up psycho-education courses in junior high schools. And it not only makes the psycho-education go into junior high school and run for the ideological and moral courses, but also makes the related curriculum a powerful platform to carry out psycho-education. Therefore, it is very necessary to do a comprehensive research and analysis on the ideological and moral textbook, which is an important carrier of the content of psycho-education in secondary schools. And the correct examination and research on the content of psycho-education is an important prerequisite of carrying out the psycho-education for middle school students.This paper has consulted lots of relevant literature, and it uses the methodology of text analysis, quantitative research to study this topic, using the textbook of 2007 in Shanghai version as the carrier. It studies mainly from the following aspects. First, it cares the appearance of the psycho-education content in textbooks, and reflects that by its proportion and the choice of the content. Second, it summarizes and analyses the characteristics of the appearance of the psycho-education content from the aspects of system, scheduling and expression. Finally, on the basis of the previous two issues, it raises several thoughts in some aspects, such as the choice for the content of psycho-education of textbooks, the presentation of the content of psycho-education, and the requirements for teachers and students. It hopes that, through the research and study in this paper, it may have some implications for the preparation and teaching practice of the content of psycho-education of the ideological and moral textbooks in junior high school in the context of the reform of the new curriculum and textbooks.
