Distance education is an essential part in education. As the continuous improvement of distance education in the field of school infrastructure, teaching materials and teaching stuff, as well as the rapid development of rural economy, distance education gains its momentum to expand. Modern distance education realises the communication between the teacher and the students without the limits of areas and time. In order to enable more people in rural areas to get further education to adapt to the development of mordern economy, it is essential to conduct research on teaching management especially on distance education. This essay takes Zhangjiagang city of Jiangsu province as an example, discussed some urgent problems in the distance education management with the related theories of sociology, economics and pedagogy and also put forward some proposals and measures for improvement.This essay is composed of five chapters. The first chapter elaborates the significance of the topic and the reasearch, it also talks about the methods, structure and contents of the research. The second chapter expounds not only the origin and development of distance education in rural areas, but also the requirement raised for the teaching management in distance education which is the key of teaching quality. The third chapter discusses the general situation concerning Zhangjiagang economy and the development of teaching management in distance education, it conducts a survey to the current situation of teaching management in distance education of Zhangjiagang, and obtains some feedback and suggestions, problems are also raised meantime. The fourth chapter analyzes the issues existed in the teaching management in distance education of Zhangjiagang, and proposels the solutions. The fifth chapter domenstrates the framework, principles and practices in carrying out the interactive teaching management mode of Zhangjiagang Broadcasting and TV College.
