The development of higher education must be based on education funds. Our country's higher education has entered the popular stage. Investment Scale of Higher education is enhancing, and the source of investment is presenting diversified trend. However, China's insufficient investment in higher education, investment contradiction between supply and demand and other issues remain. To solve this problem, we should research from the source of investment in higher education.Through Marx and Engels' Thoughts on Educational Economy, Public Goods Theory, Human Resource Theory, cost-sharing theory and other relevant theoretical analysis, The article provides a theoretical basis for that the government, society, institutions of higher learning and individual should undertakes the source of investment in higher education together. Through comparative analysis of the United States, Japan, Britain and other Western countries' education investment sources, we can obtains the enlightenment about China's investment in higher education sources ,and then the article reviewed the course of changes in Investment Source Structure of China's higher education, the article uses data analysis method to analyzes the structure of Sources of investment in education in the current situation and existing problems, then it puts forward countermeasures to improve Higher Education Investment Source Structure, that is adhering to the premise of main for government funds, expanding the university own origin channel, striving for the social fund in every way, striving for to guide individual investment in education, and achieving the goal of the diversification of capital structure sources finally.
