The Hong Kong and Mainland all successively carried out the new turn curriculum reform in 20 century's ends, had appeared the programmatic document of the elementary education reform, the new curriculum standard, and the Text Book under the guidance of curriculum standard, and gradually putted into use. But the Hong Kong and mainland have the different social and cultural factors, so the curriculum standards and the compilation of Chinese textbook between the two places have different characteristics. However, Hong Kong and Mainland have the some root and homology, derive from the same origin in the traditional culture. Compare with the other countries and areas, they naturally have many mutual reference's places in the aspect of the language reform. Long ago, Mainland has already started to research the language teaching material, and has never interrupted. But when it comes to absorb and learn the beneficial experiences in writing from the Hong Kong's textbooks, Mainland still occupy the primary stage. Moreover, through the search and found materials on the comparative study of Chinese text books, the materials about studying the Chinese text books of Hong Kong and Mainland are very rich, respectively. Nevertheless, the direct perspectives concerning systematic and comprehensive comparative analysis between their Chinese text books in senior secondary are only a few. This article decide to select two versions of Chinese textbooks for the senior high school--the New Chinese Text Book for Seniors published by People's Education Press and the Chinese Text Book for Seniors published by Creative Press, separately, and make the comparative analysis for them. Their utilization ratios is the highest, and influence is bigger in the two place. The comparison is not in order to divide the strong one and the weak one, but is in order to carry on the comparison toward the Chinese Text Book for Seniors of the different cultural situation and atmosphere, can enhance strong points and avoid weaknesses, in order to enhance the knowledge of the Mainland textbooks, and improve the textbooks of Mainland. Through the comparison of the two place's new curriculum standard, the textbooks'arrangement structure, the textbooks'content and so on, this article carry out a comparative analysis. As can be seen, because of the different specific context, the two editions of textbooks have some differences, but in the total tendency and main keynote, also have a lot in common. Regardless of the curriculum standards'request or the textbooks content's compilation, all focuses on the students'comprehensive and sustainable development, pays attention to cultivate the students'ability to self-inquiry, emphasizes to combine the traditional culture and the modem consciousness. Certainly, two places have the different society cultural context after all, also have respective standard to the curriculum value determination, thus manifest on the teaching material have the different stress. For instance, two edition teaching materials to the language ability which must raise have the explicit request and the localization respectively, their units'arrangement also respectively have the different bright characteristic and so on.Such comparison, not only may summarize the basic rule and the main experiences which two places'teaching material compiles for the high school, inquire into initially the new idea and mentality of the two places'teaching material compiles. More importantly, I hope to take the outstanding experiences and the reform achievement of Hong Kong's teaching materials as the model, promote two places'teaching material having complementary advantages, thus propose the positive suggestions for the present teaching material of Mainland, and find some worth mentalities and the methods which we should profit from, rather than blindly copy verbatim.
