As an important part of secondary education, secondary vocational education in China serves as an important foundation for the development of social economy. With the rapid development of secondary vocational education, great changes have taken place, including the sharp rise of student number, the fluctuation of student' s quality, which pose a new challenge to the work of student management. Therefore, how to develop a student management mode by mobilizing and integrating the roles of school, family and society, and cultivate competent students has become a new issue to be addressed urgently. With an analysis of relevant literatures concerning student management both at home and abroad, students in secondary vocational schools are found to tend to lack confidence, be more dependent and negative in study, and with poor psychological adaptation. This paper, by borrowing the ecological mode, moderate principle, ecological chain theory and limiting factor law, and based on the characteristics of symbiosis, competition, cooperation and parasitization of secondary vocational students, researches the method of student management work. A questionnaire survey about student management conception, management function, management behavior, management staff, teacher-student relation, and student satisfaction degree is made in three secondary vocational schools in Zhejiang province. The result points out that student management of secondary vocational schools is a kind of systematic project, which is jointly affected by family, school and society and none of the above party alone can fulfill it.The research result is tested among pilot classes, the comprehensive quality evaluation indexes are defined by using Delphi method, and the index system is determined by using Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP). The newly established system is used to evaluate the comprehensive quality of secondary vocational school students. After compared with practice result, the effectiveness of the management system and method are validated. The management mode is favorably commented by both students and student management staff.
