Interpersonal problem is one of the most common psychological distresses experienced by college students,while attachment is individuals' earliest interpersonal experience.The thesis explores deeply on the relationship between adult attachment and interpersonal problems of college students.Based on the theory of attachment,the thesis studies the internal origin of students' personal problems,thus made people have a deeper understanding of college student's interpersonal problems and their corresponding attachment style.We firstly introduced and translated the measurement tool of interpersonal problems,ⅡP -32,which was developed by Horowitz,et al.Then we randomly selected 242 undergraduates from Fudan University to undertake a series of questionnaires includingⅡP-32,ECR and RQ.Based on the collected data,the main results are as follows:(1) The proportion of 4 attachment styles of college students is in sequence as following:secure(41.30%),preoccupied(24.40%),dismissed(19%),fearful(15.30%).(2) The birth place and love experience have main effect on college students' attachment style.(3) There exist varying degrees of problems in college students' interpersonal interactions.Gender and birth place have significant main effects on students' interpersonal problems.(4) Different attachment styles were found to correspond to different types of interpersonal problems.Secure attachment group's interpersonal problems are not significant;occupied attachment group behave overly friendly and submissive,and trying to express his/her own feelings during interpersonal interactions;dismissed attachment group lack emotional connection,and typical behavior is indifference; fearful attachment group's behave passively during interpersonal interaction,shown as submissive,socially avoidant,and indifferent.
