The new round of curriculum reformation of compulsory education in China has been completely implemented.As a main part of teachers' instruction in classroom,teaching materials has been caused much concern of researchers in the course of curriculum implementation,such as the comparative study of teaching materials which before and aider the curriculum reformation,the study of applicability of one version of teaching materials,and the study of evaluation and construction of new teaching materials,and so on.However,no matter how perfect the teaching materials is,its ultimate fate is commanded of the teacher,its user. How teachers use teaching materials determine whether the teacher implement the concept of new curriculum reformation,so as to the new curriculum reformation can be implemented smoothly.As a starting point,this paper try to study how teachers use teaching materials in the classroom.The author choose school X as the research subject,that is an ordinary rural school.Through interviews,observation and collection of things,the author describe the current situation that how teachers of school X use teaching materials.The author also try to analyze the factors which effect the teacher,and give personal recommendation at last.This study consists of three parts:the first part is mainly the introduction of the purpose,significance and design of the program,and the interpretation of two core concepts and key words:the implementation of curriculum reformation,teaching materials and the implementation of new curriculum reformation and the use of teaching materials.The second part is the description and analysis of the case.In the third part,the author try to form the conclusion.First of all,the author describe the factors that effect English teacher using teaching materials.Finally,the author gives some feasible proposals on improving the level which the English teachers of school X use teaching materials.
