The teacher evaluation is one of the most important that influence the development of the teachers.With the development of the elemental education reform in our country,much more attention is paid to the belief of the developmental evaluation.A great many researchers have contributed their efforts to this field,for example:Some researchers probe into the rise,philosophical origins,theoretical basis of psychology,theoretical assumptions,basic concepts and the main features of developmental teacher evaluation;Some researchers draw on the experience of the United Kingdom to seek the integration of our specific education practice and foreign theories,and explore China's actual teacher evaluation system,and so on. These researches have already had some effects on the practice of teacher evaluation in the school.Based on these studies,the researcher makes her point through a typical case study on a general rural primary school in the south of Henan province.Multiple methods of data collection,including interview,field observing and collecting documents were adopted in this qualitative study.All the interviews records were transcribed and read repeatedly along with field notes and documents.Themes, comments and ideas emerging during this period were written down and acted as guidelines for further data-analysis.At last,the themes were categorized and sequenced into the final report.This thesis is composed of three parts:the first part is introduction,including the courses of the research,literature review,explain of the core concepts,research methods and research process,etc.The second part is the case of school S,and that is the focus of the article.Through data collection,observation and teacher narrative to break through the limitations of time and space,show the true scene of teacher evaluation.The third part,conclusion of the study,pointed out the problems about school S:single evaluation function and evaluation standards,one-sided evaluation. For the above problem,this thesis proposes the following:respecting for the teachers 'dominant position and individual differences.In addition,the school must construct the evaluation environment for promoting the teachers' development;the establishment of multi-subject evaluation mechanisms and a effective teacher evaluation system is necessary to achieve the combination to education goals and teachers' professional development.
