The dissertation takes She ethnic group in Fujian and Zhejiang Province as the object of study, and tries to sum up infants and young children's family education tradition on the basis of rich ethnology references and the on-the-spot investigation. Furthermore, the dissertation takes the developmental psychology theory as the appraisal basis to analysis the family education tradition's influence to children's physical and mental development in both positive and negative sides. The study result shows that nowadays some outstanding tradition still has strong vitality, and it can be the practical material for researching and developing local curriculum and local national work during the process of modernization of She ethnic.The dissertation is divided into three parts.The first part is introduction, including reasons for the research, literature review, core concepts, theoretical foundation, research methods and significance, and an overview of She ethnic group in Zhejiang and Fujian province.The second part is the main body of the dissertation, including four chapters.Chapter one discusses traditional marriage, family system and child nurturance. Chapter two analyzes traditional principle of family education, exploring the necessity of family education, the target of family education, the awareness of children's gender and quality.Chapter three introduces traditional fetus nurturance, such as mother's diet, words, deeds to analyze the advantages and disadvantages to infant's physical and mental development.Chapter four mainly discusses traditional infants and young children's family nurturance, such as mother-tongue teaching, living and production skill teaching in games, ethics teaching, and so on.The third part is conclusion, which evaluating the tradition of She ethnic group infant and young children family education, and pointing out its practical significance.
