In "Action plan for the revitalization of education in the 21st century", the national education ministry pointed out that college students' Career-creation Education must be strengthened and some colleges and universities will be chosen as experimental unit. In order to promote Career-creation Education to develop in a healthy way, it's necessary to do some research on Career-creation Education.As an important base for talents cultivation, Colleges and universities are under the obligation to cultivate college students' career-making spirit. It's not only a measure to solve present employment difficulties following enrollment expansion in higher education but also a prerequisite to build a strong, prosperous country as well as the rising of a nation. Therefore, how to implement Career-creation Education in colleges and universities turns into a question for discussion that requires further thinking, studying and practice.Career-creation Education has been put into practice in China Since 1998. As it were, some experience in this field has been accumulated. However, the implementation of the Career-creation Education has not achieved significant effects and particularly lacks systematical study on Career-creation Education in higher education owing to some factors such as the level of socio-economic development and factors concerned with colleges and universities themselves. When we are on the very start just like a toddler learning to walk, we should take the initiative to learn from advanced Career-creation Education ideology rather than close the door and act blindly. It's no doubt that the higher education in America is second to none in the whole world. The history of American Career-creation Education as well as its implementation also come first on the list. Therefore, it is necessary to compare Career-creation Education between China and America.The comparison does not aim at revealing the difference between China and America in Career-creation Education but to learn about the background of Career-creation Education's rise in America and to explore its track of development. The comparison helps us to find out the problems lie in the implementation of Career-creation Education in China's colleges and universities. In addition, the successful experience of Career-creation Education in America will provide us theoretical and practical basis for the implementation of Career-creation Education in China's colleges and universities.This article is divided into four major parts:The first part is introduction.
