Personal Interest In The Divorce Maintenance

"What will be obtained from a divorce?"and"How to obtain what will be obtained from the divorce?"are always issues that the divorced parties, their friends and relatives as well as lawyers are concerned about. And few of sociology scholars have paid attention to this issue, especially from the angle of benefit. This thesis will follow the cognitive function of sociology and look into the benefit game between the couples further after the love breaks down.At present, most of sociology scholars have been studying the couple relations from the angle of the status changes between the couples and the sex relationship in our country (China). From the angle of benefit to study the couple relations, it is still in process to localize the foreign studies. As for the further study of benefit game in the course of the divorce, it is still nearly blank. To a certain extent, this thesis will fill in the blank study from the angle of the benefit game between the divorced couples.In the foreign countries, the studies of the couple relations have been relatively plentiful from the angle of the social benefits. The specific studies about the divorces have mainly focused on the three aspects: influences on a benefit to a marriage decision, marriage benefits and benefits to be obtained from a divorce. All those studies have been directed from the angle of individual benefits instead of a whole benefit body of the marriage, and even no studies have focused on the individual benefits while the whole benefit split and individual benefit-keeping in the course. There are so many theoretic studies concerned about the divorces. One of typical representatives is Coleman Theory of Rational Actions. However, that theory is just a macroeconomic analysis without a specific theoretic analysis against the marriage object. This thesis will be concentrated on benefit study from the divorced couples. And it will make the benefit studies more detailed for the divorced couples.This thesis is synthetically using two research methods: Qualitative Analysis and Quantitative Analysis. It traces the changes of the couples'behaviors after the love breaks down. The individual behaviors will focus on the individual benefits from the whole family benefits for the maximized individual benefits. Therefore, both of parties will firstly start to weigh a divorce and no divorce. If it is inevitable, they will start to allot their belongings and public sources. Finally, they will turn to allotting the future benefits from their children. General speaking, it is a benefit game. The behaviors and attitudes from two parties will embody the pursuit of maximizing individual benefits.
