Adult education is an important component of the education system; it is community-oriented for all adults, and its development will inevitably extend to all spheres of society in all its aspects. With the rapid development of today's society, the adult's demand for education is also increasing. In order to ensure the good teaching effect embodied in adult education and adult education activities, how to combine adults' studies and adult features is the key to this thesis's exploration. Adult Education is a large and complex task, due to the current unsuited to the development of adult education and teaching reforms, we should reform and innovate from the existing adult education teaching concepts, teaching contents, modes of teaching, teaching management and teaching evaluation models, to make the adult education and teaching begin from the real practical situation of adult students, to focus on the tremendous role of the adults in the community concerned, and to concern about the adults learning needs and the learning optimization. In the present stage of our country's education, people claim that adult education should be close to the adult learners' daily life; these views just reflect the thinking of modern humanistic education. Therefore, it is of great theoretical significance and practical significance to introduce the humanistic education theory into the teaching and research of adult education and absorb and learn from their new education ideas, and it also can promote Chinese adult education and teaching reform. Under the guidance of this concept, this paper is directed at the research of the present adult education and teaching mode unsuited to the development of the society and adults themselves, constructing the education and teaching mode with the true characteristics of adult.The thesis is divided into four parts: Part I, Introduction. It stated current fundamental status of the adult education after years of development, and the important role it played in our country's social development. At the same time, it stated the existing problems on the basis of successful experience. It made a simple analysis on these problems, and then it leads to the Humanistic Educational ideas to deal with the current existing problems in adult education and teaching. Part II, The development and innovation of adult education and teaching content. Teaching content development should be designed in accordance with the characteristics of adult learning. This chapter is on the characteristics of adult learning to discuss the existing problems in adult teaching, and to build the teaching content suiting the characteristics of adult learning from the viewpoint of humanistic education ideology. Part III, The innovation of the teacher-student relationship and teaching mode in adult education and teaching activities. The relationship between teachers and students has a direct impact on the effectiveness of teaching. This chapter began with the analysis of the factors which now affect the teacher-student relationship in adult education and teaching activities. It advocated the introduction of humanistic ideology into the building of teacher-student relationship, and on this basis to reform the current teaching mode. Part IV, The innovation of adult personalized learning and learning evaluation under the humanistic ideology teaching. During the learning process, the adults also should be in light of their own status quo to choose their own approach of learning, how to construct the study mode suitable its own characteristics, and how to evaluate this mode. These are the focus of this chapter's study.
