At the present time, mathematics elementary education must face examinations, especially the various entrance examinations. The influence of NMET on students , families and society is self-evident. The reform of the new curriculum also puts forward the new demand to NMET. In 2001 the Ministry of Education officially launched the new curriculum programmes and the development of curriculum standards in senior middle school. From that time, the idea of the new curriculum is gradually entering the field of mathematics education and is affecting mathematics teaching. Under such background, mathematics test questions in NMET are changing correspondingly,and this must have certain effect on mathematics education of senior middle school surely.Since NMET was resumed 30 years ago, great changes have taken place. This also can be seen from the development of the test questions in NMET . Both teachers and education researchers should pay attention to the changes of examination, education laws in these changes and the influence of examination on teaching. Based on this consideration, the research on the test questions in NMET has practical significance. The thesis elaborates on following three aspects.The first aspect is about country policy in connection with NMET through looking over the mathematics examination history and the past research on the test questions.The second aspect analyzes the new tendency of the test questions, new characteristics of the test questions in 2007 based on the new curriculum standards. The characteristics are as follows: (1) The test questions tend toward to test innovation ability of students and reasoning ability by analogy; (2) The learning potential is emphasized. Large amount of high viewpoint test questions , research type and open type test questions come to the fore; (3)Some mathematics test questions reflected mathematics culture. The test questions , which test the mathematics thinking ability of students, reflect that the test questions and the new curriculum are idential. The test questions based on the new curriculum standards in 2007 strengthens the inspetion of new ideas and contents and the ability of the application and exploration.According to above analysis the third aspect is about the thinking to characteristics of the test questions, and the guiding function to teaching seeing through the reform of NMET to perceive the development of the test questions.The thesis analyzes the characteristics of the test questions in inspection goal and assessment method through the research on the latest test questions , contrasts and thinks carefully about the information that the test questions communicate and understands the new education ideas .This has certain real guiding significance to the implementation of new curriculum and putting quality education into practice.
