With the advent of "image age" , all of us are in an environment full of pictures, and we can not escape. Lots of visual resources are influencing our attitudes and ideas when they transport information. When we earn profits we also get the negative disturbance. The kopi role of visual information is evident for infants. So it is necessary to improve the visual literacy of people especially infants.After we have analyzed the characters of visual information and infants, we put forward the necessity and significance for infants to receive the education of visual literacy, work out the content of the education of visual literacy, and explore the way to make the table to measure the visual literacy of infants, and try to improve the visual literacy of infants by some useful ways. On the basis of amount of research on abroad visual literacy, we have found that thinking maps can match the characters of infants, and can develop the deep understanding of visual information. Therefore, we try to take the education of visual literacy by using thinking maps, and after about one-year experiments, we have made the strategy to improve the visual literacy of infants by using thinking maps.By referring to many books, having experiments in schools, and taking the communication between teachers, parents and infants, we have found that it is possible to improve the visual literacy of infants by using thinking maps. Thinking maps can help infants to improve the ability of observing visual information and understanding visual information. All of this can improve the visual literacy of infants.
