Chinese educators have been focused on reading teaching. At present with the further development of educational reform, they concentrate on how to optimize reading teaching.The article states the concept of teaching and reading teaching on the basis of the research which was fulfilled by the former. It also analyses the fundamental factors and basic principles of reading teaching. It refers to three strategies that are linked with optimizing Chinese reading teaching , which aims at the present problems which exsit in junior high school. The three strategies are hiberarchy strategy which leads goals and experience strategy which focuses on participating as well as exoteric strategy which is related to extending space. It even puts forward the guarantees on carrying out the strategies above. The detailed guarantees are to develop teachers' profession and establish multidimensional evaluation system as well as to construct the integrative reading environment, which aims at achieving the better development of teachers and students.In the course of research, the author uses many methods based on the theory of pedagogy and psychology including literature approach, experience approach and questionnaire approach. The author also tries to enrich the system of reading teaching by means of the research and give some help to Chinese teachers in junior high school.
