Optimization Strategies For High School It Curriculum Evaluation Study

Abstract/Summary:
The IT test, as an important way to evaluate high school students' IT knowledge, is receiving more and more attention. This paper first reviews the present situation about the IT curriculum assessment in the United States, Britain, Japan, Hong Kong and other countries and regions. The current IT curriculum education reform focuses on these things: the written examination is closely combined with computer operating test, the contents are related to the problem-solving process and students' lives and beyond only using specific tools. Next, this paper is a brief summary of the characteristics of the high school IT curriculum and defines the requirements for IT curriculumtest----highlighting the fundamental and developing features of IT curriculumtest, taking it seriously to test students' ability to analyze and solve problems, paying great attention to evaluating students' emotional attitude and values, emphasizing the problem-solving process and testing students' thinking method and thinking ability during the process. Meanwhile, this paper analyzes, induces, compares and sums up the changes before and after the implementation of the new high school IT curriculum. These changes include guiding principles, examination objectives and contents, structures and compilation of examination papers, etc. Thirdly, this paper is a detailed analysis of both examination objectives and examination papers used in the province-wide general examination and teaching practice from different-regions, discussing the way how to optimize the types of examination questions ,how to embody the three principles and how to achieve teaching aims, pointing out the drawbacks in some examination questions. The last chapter is a summary of the whole paper. It is believed that optimizing examination questions is a necessary request for carrying out further IT curriculum reform. Teachers should practice compiling examination questions based on 3-D targets. To evaluate the test results remains a problem to be thought about during the course of optimization of examinations. The IT curriculum evaluation reform has brought about some requirements on teaching. These requirements are briefly analyzed and some suggestions for improvement will also be put forward.
