The teacher's professional development,which is characterized by improving teachers' inner professional quality and professional practice .The implementation of quality education in mathematics and sprending of new mathematical curriculumn in our country set and even higher demand on mathematical teacher's professional quality.But the present situation is that mathematics teachers can not meet the demands. Open class ,as a special way of classroom teaching in the basic education ,is entitled with many functions such as communication,research,instruction,evaluation and competion .It has more significant promotion for the teachers' professional quality and development than any other form.This research is based on different period of the teachers' professional development ,mainly by means of interview and narrative ,analyzing the mathematics teachers' open classes and exploring the function of open class in the course of the mathematics teachers' professional development ,and drawing some conclusions from the research .The positive function of Open class fasten the teachers' professional development. Professional instruction promotes the teachers' practical knowledge .Pattern cooperation trigers the teachers' cooperative spirit and reflective quality .Self-reflective thinking is the key way of the teachers' professional development .The acdamic atmosphere of Open class enlarge the teachers' mind scope.The organization mechanisim secure the positive function of Open class.The study provides samples to professional development of common teachers,and draw upon points of view as follows: the sence of Active Self-promoting is the key positive factor of Open class. The operation of Open class needs satisfy the teachers of different professional periods. The systematic activity of Open class promotes the teacher to be a researcher .Open class can instruct and direct the common class.The advanced professional instruction help teachers change their educational value .
