| Higher Vocational Education is considered an important branch of higher education. It plays a important role in the stage of development of economic, social, science and technology, human resources. It is indispensable for the development of education . In recent years, It has made a considerable progress, and a rapid development momentum. However, due to the higher vocational education in China starting relatively late , having a relatively short history and being effected by our tradition of higher education , it has not formed a systematic, scientific, and a complete theory . The personal training mode is far unable to meet the developing of society. At present, the state, society and the higher vocational institutions are fully aware of the current shortcomings of higher vocational education, and try the best to find out a suitable and effective training mode.According to the objective requirements of social development, this article mainly discusses the topic: practical talents training mode in higher vocational schools with the methods of document analysis and comparison of research.Firstly, several basic concepts are introduced, such as higher vocational institutions, practical talent, practical talent training mode.Secondly, the shortcoming and state of several major domestic personnel training patterns are analyzed. We believe that the shortcoming existed in the personnel training mode of national higher vocational education. The people pay a little attention to training of comprehensive awareness and capability ; The people pay a little attention to training of practical awareness and capability; The people pay a little attention to training of awareness and capability of cooperation .Thirdly, several successful major foreign practical talent training model are introduced in the paper: such as German dual system of school-enterprise cooperation model ; the United Kingdom "certificate Model," Japanese enterprise education model, Australian "ladder of education" model, the U.S. system of several technical preparations. Their successful experience show us that we must pay attention to practice and better communication between the business and school education .And the direction and goals of vocational education is to change from academic education into vocational education, and the teaching methods must be changed from the disciplines Capacity-building education to the job capacity training, and strengthen the practice of teaching , enhance students practical hands– Capacity.Fourthly, the author introduced some practical type of talented person's training mode .They are "mode piece+ dual targets" practical type talented person developing mode; the "order type training" practical type talented person developing mode; the "double certificate training" practical type talented person developing mode; the "tutorial System training" practical type talented person developing mode.Finally, the author describes the strategies of practical talented persons training mode. The goal is to train the practical talented persons; We must adjust and set the object according to the needs of the society and build up the course system and choose the right textbooks according to the needs of career.
