The senior high school period is the crucial period when the ideological political quality of high school pupils develops. The ideological political curricula play an important role in cultivation and improvement of pupils'ideological political quality in senior high school period. Nevertheless, because the reform of the college entrance examination remains to be fully carried out, the exam-oriented education concept still prevails and ideological political curricula are strongly influenced by the baton of the college entrance examination, the moral education and the intellectual education are seriously unbalanced, so that the realization of the function of ideological political curricula is far from satisfactory. Furthermore, the social environment has changed greatly and the ideological cognition and values of pupils and teachers of ideological political curricula are quite different from those in the past. Complicated inner ant outer factors have increased the difficulty in realizing the moral education function of ideological political curricula. Consequently, the moral education function of ideological political curricula has been weakened, thus the effect is far from satisfactory, which calls for our attention and deep-going research. The sticking point and the solutions shall be found out.The paper includes 5 sections.Section1 is Introduction,which points out that the ideological political curricula play an important role in cultivation and improvement of pupils'ideological political quality in senior high school period but due to various causes, the moral education function of ideological political curricula turns aside from its normal way. This phenomenon requires serious research. The research of turning-aside of the moral education function of ideological political curricula and its countermeasures has profound theoretical and realistic significances.Section2 is an overall analysis of the moral education function of ideological political curricula in senior high school period. It respectively discusses the functions of developing moral quality of the pupils, improving the political quality of the pupils and accelerating the ideological maturity of the pupils. Then, it explains the common characteristics of the above functions.Section3 wholly reveals the factual performance of the turning-aside of the moral education function of ideological political curricula and analyzes the profound causes. The factual performances of the turning-aside of the moral education function include: the weakening influence of ideological political curricula on the moral virtue of pupils, the lack of care for the pupils'ideological cognition, the untimely solution of the pupils'doubts about the state policies and the incompatibility of the ideological political education in class and out of class. Then it analyzes the causes of the turning-aside concerning the inner factors of ideological political curricula, the moral education quality of ideological political education teachers, the new changes of education environment and restriction of the school conditions.Section4 puts forward the effective countermeasures of making full use of moral education function of ideological political curricula. Firstly, build up the human-oriented moral education concept and make clear the educating orientation of ideological political curricula. The paper illustrates the basic characteristics of the moral education concept and shows clearly the orientation to the practical moral education goal of ideological political curricula. Secondly, advance the reform of ideological political curricula and construct the curricula conditions for the full exertion of moral education. The paper brings forward the actual practices of exerting the moral education function by adhering to quality education concept, returning to life itself and perfecting the moral education appraisal. Thirdly, advocate life-long learning and improve the moral education accomplishments of ideological political curricula teachers. It points out the important factors of making full use of moral education function of ideological political curricula, such as unremitting knowledge absorbing, adapting to the social and education reforms and endeavoring to elevating the sense and capability of moral education. Fourthly, give prominence to era features and bring in current affairs to classes. The paper states that to meet with requirements of the era, the importance of current affairs policies education to moral education shall be greatly valued. Fifthly, make good use of the classroom teaching and enhance the effects of moral education function of ideological political curricula. The paper focuses on the countermeasures of maximizing the moral function by promoting level of classroom teaching, enriching the teaching content of classroom teaching and developing good terms between teachers and pupils.Section5 is the conclusion, which points out that facing pressure and challenges, the teachers of ideological political curricula should be confident, attempt bravely and innovate continuously. Only in this way can we reinvent the moral education function of ideological political curricula and help the pupils who are usually tortured by exams and scores regain the freedom of spiritual pursuing, so that the teachers and the pupils can establish and decorate their own spiritual kingdom.
