Family ties of the Chinese for thousands of years has consistently adhered to the traditional Chinese virtues, as well as the preservation of the family's emotional tie, or the source of happy families. Youth is the most important period among a person's life, And a person's physiological and psychological changes during this stage will be great. affected vulnerably by many factors. Therefore, the strengthening the education of family values for the young people posesses a very important significance whatever for the whole society and for one person. The aim of this study is to find out the status of adolescents'family values. The results would provide the scientific psychological basis for moral and values education effectivly, and make contributions to the multidisciplinary study of family ties.On the bases of literature reviewing, the pilot investigation, the item analysis, factor's analysis were used and the Young Family Values Questionnaire was piled. The questionnaire used in the formal investigation for exploring the status of values of the young family and the differences between genders, families and among grades, were analysed and discued.The results showed that : (1) the young family values generally positive, but in some cases also need to be strengthened. Indeed, young people pay more attention to fairness and impartiality of attention to their own independence. (2) The boys in the family values on certain aspects of family responsibilities to be significantly higher than those of girls. But girls pay much attention to the reunion with their parents or elders than boys. (3) the family values of the youth in the sixth grade is the most active ,but after that it is significantly weakened. (4) comparing with one child in a family, siblings in the family showed much active in the following areas : for parents or older provide support to siblings or other relatives; encountered significant issues, first seek the views of parents or elders before making any decision, in education, employment, marriage and children should obey their parents views on these events.
