The college is a public full-time higher vocational college directly under the department of education, Jiangsu province; it is an important training base for modern business higher technology talents. The college faces huge opportunities and challenge. Our country supports the development of professional technology colleges. On the other hand, competition among professional technology colleges is very fierce. How can this college succeed? Education is the root of school and the teachers put it into practice. So the stabilization and development of teachers' group decide the persistent development directly. However, along with the development of college personnel and distribution system, original compensation system is incompatible with present needs, which lead to the depression of teachers' satisfactions.The most important problem the college faces is how to motivate teachers and other employee to increase the efficiency and effectiveness. As the current compensation system has limitation, it cannot motivate teachers effectively. Therefore, it is urgent to improve the current compensation system. It is hoped that through discussing how to improve the compensation system to help the college to boost human resources including attracting, reserving and motivating competent people. In other words, the key problem of this paper is making the compensation system's motivating function work effectively and efficiently.In Conclusion, on the basis of the college's situation, this essay tries to give a suggestion to improve the implementation of the compensation system in the college. It aims to make a correlation between teachers' endeavors and work effectiveness, and consequently to motivate teachers and give a reference to the college's compensation system improvement.
