| In order to deepen the reform of Normal Universities, the State Education Commission decided to set up various types of "University teachers'spoken language" program , on the basis of summing up successful experience solicited opinions widely from many experts in the field of language theory and oral teachers working in various types colleges and universities and formulated the Normal College and University Teachers'Spoken Language Courses Standards ,which was in the 1993 trial in some places. Teachers'spoken language courses will not only enhance the teaching abilities of students but also play a positive role in training students'vocational skills and even educational reform of universities. The verbal ability of a teacher is directly related to his instructional success or failure. Therefore, teachers should attach importance to and strengthen the "University teachers'spoken language" courses building.For about 10 years, under the guidance of the State Education Commission, the State Language Committee and experts of languages,"University teachers'spoken language"courses construction has had a certain scale. Normal and even a lot of non-associated institutions have also set up a curriculum. But there have happened a lot of problems in the specific teaching. These problems have seriously affected the"University teachers'spoken language"courses and even the building of it.This paper attempts to trace the beginning, the domestic situation and the problems of the"University teachers'spoken language"and to find out the reasons impacting its building. Meanwhile on the basis of the analysis of these reasons, the three ways of solving the problem are found out. The first is the setup of the "University teachers'spoken language" courses, elaborating the significance of it in the new situation, the formulation of courses syllabus and the revision of textbooks. The second aspect of this study is focused primarily on "University teachers'spoken language" teaching method. In this part ,the author analyzes the ways to perfect the "University teachers'spoken language " courses construction from four sides, which are the re-positioning of courses , the improvement of teachers theory quality and comprehensive abilities, the improvement of teaching method and the application of modern technology in education. The third aspect is the "University teachers'spoken language" evaluation of Teaching. The author analyzes the course evaluation of teaching in conjunction with the Putonghua proficiency tests, which have great impact on students in recent years. Hoped that through this study in a certain extent we could explore new ideas to strengthen "University teachers'spoken language" courses construction and gradually build it up to be the excellent courses. |
