| As a special school mode in China's higher education domain, independent institution has increasingly caused wide concern from both scholars and the public. Practice over the country in recent years has proved that conducting an independent institution gradually became an important measure taken in expending the scope of undergraduate school and keeping pace with the growing demands for education. Independent institution has been an important part in regular higher education. However, independent institution is still in its early age and need to be explored and developed, it is greatly restricted by lag of relevant laws and statutes, variety factors in the society and some other self-factors, and still has a lot of problems. Independent institution how to have a healthy development has be a greater importance. problem for our government. and institution..This paper took the standardization of independent institution as a master line. The paper firstly started with definition, enunciated the historical process of independent institution's development through underlying forces analysis, and enunciated the tenor of regulations the government had done to independent institutions. Next, this paper post the problems of independent institution's development from three aspects, characterization of existent, specific problems during operation and deeper problems in development. Then, the reasons were given pointedly and there are four reasons had been summed up. Finally, ground rules and countermeasures of relevant problems in the path of standardized development of independent institution were brought forward. This paper was aimed to cause more rational assessment for independent institution's standardized development. The author hoped that this paper could provide some suggestions to policy makers and operators of independent institutions. |
