The Scientific Research Of Jiangsu Province Independent Institution PE Teachers

This paper takes research on “The scientific research status of the Gym Teacher inIndependent College in Jiangsu province(GTICJ)”, via several methods such as DocumentaryAnalysis, Questionnaire Survey, Expert Review, Mathematical Statistics, and so on. Analysis onthe base information of GTICJ(such as age, gender, education level, professional title, specialty),thesis, research program, scientific research award, vocational training, comes to theconclusion:First, The age of the majority of GTICJ is young. The gender balance is not good. Theeducation level and professional title of GTICJ are not high enough. Also, the GTICJ are lack ofresearch teams and academic leaders;Second, Most of GTICJ don’t like to do research work, because they’re not asked to. Allthey have to do is to make enough lectures. This makes a series of problems: low paper levels,lack of continuity in researches, doing researches only when they need promotion onprofessional title.Third, it’s too hard for GTICJ to do researches. As it is different in running model andadministrative principal between independent colleges and public ones, it is very difficult forGTICJ to apply for their programs. Meanwhile, their teaching tasks are much heavier than thosein public universities, which makes them have too little time to think of their research work.Some proposals are proposed.First, independent colleges should improve and perfect their mechanism of personnelrecruitment, enlarge the number of recruitment, and optimize the balance of the aspects ofnumber, gender, age, education level and professional title.Second, the training mechanism of GTICJ also should be improved and perfected.Independent colleges should encourage gym teachers to attend some research activities, andpay more attention to cultivating research teams, academic leaders and their consciousness onresearch. It’s necessary that the research-achievements should effect on the evaluation ofprofessional title and teaching work of GTICJ.Third, a good developing circumstance and academic atmosphere should be built up forGTICJ. Independent colleges should realize that they need to regard their teachers as the mostimportant part, which will help them make their colleges better. They should give more respecton gym teachers’ teaching work and on their knowledge. At last, this paper proposes theresearch target of GTICJ, and give methods on how to achieve the target., which will help withbuilding up a distinguished model of construction of GTICJ, and improving the researchcapability and research level of GTICJ.
