Moral Education plays an important role in school education,especially in the primary school education. It could help pupils form goodbehavior rules and correct outlook on life. At the turn of the century,the whole world is reinforcing the Moral Education in primary andsecondary schools. But in practice, it is very difficult to gaineffectiveness. Therefore, it is necessary to make a comparison of theexperiences and lessons about moral education between home and abroad,so that we can improve the actual effect of moral education of our owncountry. Both China and Korea belong to the same oriental culture circle,and both emphasize on the traditional Moral Education. The aim of thethesis is that through the comparison of the Moral Education course ofboth countries, the author puts forward some advices towards thedevelopment and the reform of primary school Moral Education.This thesis is mainly adopted the documentary, comparative, andanalysis approach to make the comparison of evolutionary process, aim,contents, and evaluation of Moral Education between China and Korea.The author puts forward some enlightenments and conclusions, whichare summarized as follows:First, both in China and Korea, the Moral Education course plays animportant and role among the whole primary.school courses. It also playsan irreplaceable personality, especially in training the ethos aspect.We must keep a correct understanding towards the status and role of primaryschool Moral Education course, and make more benefit from the MoralEducation course.Second, the aim of Moral Education course is from political consciousinstillation to Moral Educationin life and multi—hierarchy. In orderto keep pace with the world, Chinese must renew the concept in MoralEducation, readjust timely, enrich and develop the connotation of MoralEducation. So that our subjects could get the chance to become a moreall—round developing people.Third, the content of Moral Education course in both China and Korea is continually becoming rich and colorful. And the presentation model ofthe Moral Education course content is changing from the theory enumeratingto a popular and interesting way. We should manage to offer students thesecontents, which are close—related to their life, easily accepted bystudents, as well as popular and interesting, in order to improve thevalidity of Moral Education.Fourth, the main points on evaluation of primary school MoralEducation course are inclined to comprehensiveness, all sidedness ofcountries; diversity of main body, and evaluation within processes. Weshould pay more attention to the combination of Moral Education andpractical activity, and the evaluation about the practical moral ability.So that we could furthest exert the effect of moral culture, as well asimprove the validity of Moral Education course.
