As an important objective,self-regulated learning was arranged into Chinese new curriculum system of the elementary school. This complies with the trend of the world educational reform, But in course of practice, there exist many problems waiting to be resolved. In order to settle these problems, this research is carried out. By application of many scientific methods such as an investigation method, interview method, questionnaire, documental alysis. The author firstly summarizes the present situation of self-regulated learning at home and abroad by defining it,pointing out the problems existing in the development of self-regulated learning in elementary education.According to these facts,the author do some surveys about students'self-regulated learning ability in high schools .The surveys suggest that student'abilityofself-efficacself-control,self-regulation ,self-administration and self-evaluation is relatively poor.At the last part of the passage,the anthor raises four solutions to the problems on the basis of her understanding and research on self-regulated learning and self-regulated learning ability, consulting the anthor's offorts and teaching practice on trying to find out the ways and strategies of the development of the students'self-regulated learning ability,The first one is to stimulate the students'motivation of self-regulated learning and help them set up confidence;the second one is to develop the students'ability of deciding on their learning aims and working out learning plans;the third one is to form and strengthen students'ability of self-examination and self-control;the last one is the feedback of the information and the adjustment of plans and strategies.
