"The hope of vitalizing our nation is education, and teachers play vital role in vitalizing education." With the issue of "standard" and the advancement of the new musical courses, the role of musical teachers becomes much more important than ever. Musical teachers' major development has become a forward topic for sustainable development and musical education reform. Based on the musical teachers' "subject", this thesis intends to explore the way of musical teachers' major development The author comes up with the idea that the essence of musical teachers' major development is that teachers should have initiative and make themselves as the master of development, therefore calling that musical teachers should develop major by themselves.In the first chapter, based on philosophy, psychology, sociology, science of talent and science of musical education, the author makes detailed elaboration on the theory of musical teachers' major self-reliant development, and analyzes the meaning of major self-reliant development, then pointing out the musical teachers' major self-reliant development is very important for both individual and the whole. In the second chapter, the author reflects the musical teachers' present lacking of self-reliance in the major development and makes deep analysis. In the third chapter, the author comes up with some strategies of realizing, designing, developing, transforming and surpassing oneself so as to solve the problem existing among the musical teachers, expecting that the musical teachers can develop their major much better. At the end of the thesis, the author makes summary and expectation on the musical teachers' major self-reliance development.
