Traditional instruction pay more attention to terminal evaluation,but much less conscious of the students' independence, go-aheadism and creativity. Formative evaluation is aim at the disadvantages of traditional evaluation, which respect is to study the various activities and tasks of students, and improve students' learning and providing feedback for teaching to improve class teaching efficiency.Papers is formed by six chapters, the first chapter is the general instuction evaluation including the definitions, functions, principles and types of the instruction evaluation and the comparision of formative evaluation, terminal evaluation and diagnostic evaluation. The second chapter dissertate the general theory of formative evaluation, the theoretical foundation of formative evaluation, constructivism, the learning theory and post-modernism, the characteristics, uses of formative evaluation and the specific method for making formation evaluation test. The fourth chapter describes a tool -Voting machine digital system for formative evaluation, which including the constitute and installation of the system, the usage of Voting machine digital system, the theoretical basis for the system, the behavior of students in the study and goals of evaluation and learning environment. Chapter 5 concentrates on application of Voting machine digital system in the formative evaluation experiments of physics classroom. According to Bloom's taxonomy of educational objectives, the knowledge is decomposed by teaching objectives, and the provision of educational objectives before experiments, according to the provision of lesson teaching objectives, we can create reference testing. pretest, embedded test and posttest are detected for experiment, pretest is used firstly in the new medium, mainly aimed at understanding the students' basic knowledge of the lesson. According to the pretest results, teacher adjusts the teaching goals and methods. Embedded test is taken on after the main content completed. The teacher should change the targets or apply other ways to help the students whose content mastered is below 80%. Finally, posttest is generally to measure the knowledge and skills of students in the class, to provide the basis for follow-up teaching. Chapter VI mainly get a conclusion of Voting machine digital system used in the classroom teaching evaluation: experimental studies show that the formative evaluation system can enhance learning and inspire motivation of the students, provide immediate feedback and accurate measurement result, in order to improve teaching efficiency and to generate harmony of redesign and shape. The system is still need design improved and functions exploited.
