| Many university students waste seriously, expense unreasonably and lack of industrious and economical personal character. In view of such situation, this paper makes an exhaustive elaboration as a topic of 'Bring Honor to the Thrifty Tradition, Strengthen the Research of University Students' Thrifty Moral Education' .The paper consists of three parts: The first part cuts into from Chinese traditional culture and moral excellence. It has discussed the main thrifty thoughts in ancient time, such as the 'sought asylum by thrifty character' thought of the Confucian, 'thrifty prosperous obscenely perishes' thought of the Mohist, 'thrifty can be broad' thought of the Taoism, as well as 'Thrifty does not damage an undertaking, extravagant does not injury the goods' thought of the legalist school and so on. This paper makes the ancient thrifty thoughts much more logic and clear, and also it analyzes the social and ideological reasons why the ancients highly take the thrifty actions. The second part mainly stands the point of current construct economy society, and elaborates how important the thrifty is both in revolution and constructing times in China. It includes three aspects, namely: Thrifty is the political essence of the Communist Party of China, the basic request for a country to be much more prosperous and powerful, an effective safeguard for the social sustainable development. Finally, the paper points to the university students' thrifty education, and emphasizes that thrifty character should be a necessary quality for an excellent student. After analyzing the thrifty character situation among contemporary university students, this paper proposes that universities should inherit and bring honor to the fine traditions in order to enhance university students' thrifty consciousness, attach importance to practice to raise university student's thrifty ability, build good atmosphere to form university students' thrifty customs. |
