| Revolution of learning style is one of the key issues in the current course reform in China. Inquiry learning is conducive to improving students'learning style and developing their ability to research and innovate. In light of the crucial role curriculum teaching plays in learning, it is of great significance to implement inquiry learning in curriculum teaching. Essentially speaking, the success of inquiry learning largely depends on the teacher in that teacher's personal making decides whether inquiry learning can be carried out and achieve final success. Then, how is the mathematics teacher's quality nowadays? What are his/her attitudes toward inquiry learning? What are the actual obstacles he/she meets during teaching? What qualities should a mathematics teacher possess in implementing inquiry learning? What measures can be taken to improve mathematics teachers'personal makings? The present study aims to explore these issues in greater detail in terms of theory and practice.At first, this thesis reviews the existing relevant research. Then, teachers'perplexities and lack of quality are made clear through questionnaire survey and attending lectures. Consequently, under the guidance of the principles of new course reform, this research concludes the absolutely necessary qualities mathematics teachers must have. Besides, some ideas and suggestions concerning improving teachers'qualities are put forward for the reference of educational administrations, schools and teachers. |
