| At present, the quality education is being carried out in primary and middle schools all over the country. The concept of "quality" (suzhi) has become increasingly central to contemporary dynamics of culture and governance in China. On the one hand, the survival and development of China hinges on its ability to enhance the competitive "quality" of its population, especially that of its children; on the other hand, education is a key avenue for social advancement within China. But Chinese quality education still has many problems. Many people consider exam-oriented education as the greatest obstacle to quality educational reform. The author thinks exam-oriented education drives for "entering a higher school", and should be correlated with the behavior of entering a higher school directly. After all, it is an unreasonable goal that has caused the exam-oriented education. Therefore, it has an important significance for going on research about the behavior of entering a higher school.This thesis is composed of five sections as follows:The first part presents the origin of the research, the relevant researches and the main topics of the thesis. This research is based on a case study carried out in City A, Shandong province. Through the survey of five schools in City A, the author has analyzed the forming process and reason of means-end behavior of entering a higher school. According to the results of the study, the author puts forward the effective suggestions on Chinese quality educational development.The second part introduces basic conceptions involved of the research, the instructive theory and research approach. This research adopts the methods of the quantitative and the qualitative.In the third part, the author describes the current situations of present Chinese education briefly, analyses in detail the first-hand data and materials, and then describes the behavior of entering a higher school and the idea of quality-oriented education according to investigation results.On the basis of the third part, the fourth part discusses the forming reason of... |
