| In the new curriculum reform, Integrated Practical Activities, as a kind of new curriculum, appear in our curricula system. It is a kind of integrated, practical, creative, self -controlled and open-ended curriculum. It puts much value on students' practice, and emphasizes students' feelings. It is supposed that students' creating and practical abilities can grow up much quickly during the problem-solving course. All of these show the new educational ideas and indicate a new trend of curriculum development. In this thesis the author describes and gives an explanation of the design and practices of the school-based theme unit of Y Primary School in Nanjing by using the case study method. However the problem in practice is serious in terms of lipdeep phenomena in activities, teacher settings and the curriculum assessment. One thing that can not be ignored is that the problems indicate the different opinions on some theories. And the way we deal with it can influence the realization of curriculum' s value. Based on a case of Integrated Practical Activities, the Story of Bridge, which is participated in fully by the author,the author was trying to solve the problems in practice, to find some strategies to solve them by integrating the theory and practice, so as to give some suggestions for the design and implementation of the new curriculum. |
