To infiltrate morality education into the teaching of Chinese is both a traditional and new, but important topic. The Second-stage reform of curricula puts emphasis on spirits, life and humanity. The Chinese Curricular Criteria for Elementary and High schools also points out clearly that the course of Chinese is a combination of the tool and humanity. Meanwhile, it shows that it is high time that the Chinese teaching played an important role in morality education. So we can draw the conclusion that we should fully explore the moral factors in Chinese teaching, promote the education for all-around development with the core of morality education, and uplift students' virtues and personalities as well as develop students' integrated makings of Chinese learning. And those are, of course, bound-duties for us Chinese teachers.This essay has all together five parts. Namely, the first chapter: prolegomena. The second, special functions and premises of Chinese teaching involving morality education. The third, ways of infiltrating morality education into the teaching of Chinese. The fourth, medium of infiltrating morality education into the teaching of Chinese. And the fifth, infiltrating morality education into the teaching of Chinese for new senior high school edition.Chapter one is about the connotation of morality education and the importance of infiltrating morality education into the teaching of Chinese. The difference between morality education involving Chinese teaching and political education included in the teaching of politics is also discussed in this chapter.Chapter two expounds the significance of moral education in the teaching of Chinese and points out that enforcing moral education in Chinese teaching can accelerate the development of intellectual education and aesthetic education.Chapter three expounds and illustrates the two basic methods of infiltrating morality education into the teaching of Chinese—edification and exerting subtle influences on students. In this chapter, the using of situational teaching method to enforce morality education is also talked about.Chapter four elucidates that the basic ways of putting morality education into practice are to guide students ingeniously in class and influencing them in extracurricular activities.Chapter five illustrates how moral education is presented in the new textbooks of the Second -stage reform in curricula. It is also pointed out in this chapter that students are the major object of the morality education. Therefore, teachers should insist on infiltrating morality education properly into the teaching of Chinese by putting emphasis on the teaching of ancient poems, enhancing the traditional virtues and infiltrating the education of our national spirits. Some requirements for the infiltrating of morality education into the teaching of Chinese are also put forward at the end of this chapter.
