American School Health Education

Since the focus of health education is on the children and young people, the school health education is the essential part of health education. The tendency of the development of health education and its connection with health promotion makes people realize that health education is a systematic activity, and its development must rely on the government'seffective integration and distribution of social resources, and communities, families and schools should work together to offer comprehensive experiences and models. So, the nation should set up a management framework, develop and coordinate the initiatives of school health activities, and regulate the strategies on public health and school health accordingly. Only in this way can the barriers to students' health be eliminated, and students' health and education conditions be improves.The United States in one of the countries that implemented school health education, and with the development of school heath education , Coordinated School Health Program came into being. The idea and development of this program is the response to the children and young people's health and education conditions. And the fact is the American Coordinated School Health Program not only enriches the content of school heath education, but also becomes the landmark that the American school health education has become developed. Coordinated School Health Program stresses the variety and coordination between school health contents and resources, and at the same time the government's position is very clear. The government's supervision, guidance and assessment on school health education, and the financial support on it are the key to the success of the program. In this essay , I will give an introduction to the content of the Coordinated School Health Program and the government's methods of implementing it, analyze the elements which influence the development of the program, summarize the characteristics of American Coordinated School Health Program , the existing problems , and do the assessment on it . I hope the essay will offer some references to the development of health education and health promotion in our country.
