Essentials of Elementary Education Curriculum Reform puts forward the following points: The current teaching situation which is overemphasized on receiving, reciting and mechanical training should be changed and the students should be induced to participate in teaching. Teachers should emphasize on developing the students' abilities of inquiring, analyzing, collecting and dealing information , acquiring new knowledge, analyzing and solving problem, interchanging and cooperating. Teachers should induce the students to question, explore, and inquire in learning and to study actively and personalized. According to the above teaching aims, I have made some research and teaching practice of the "Inquiring Teaching" Theory in my mathematics class and have made some progress under the guidance of my turtor.  This article includes three parts. The first part is the putting forward of the question. In this part I summarize that inquiring teaching is a new teaching mode which is adjusted to the development of future society and to meet the need of developing qualified persons. It is especially a mode which combined the aims of developing qualified military persons. It is emphasized that inquiring teaching is an essential teaching method to win the local war with the highly developed science and technology. The second part is the literature review. In this part I collect and sort out related material, introduce the concept, feature, significance, aims and operating procedures of inquiring teaching and make the elementary inquiring teaching theory. The third part is the experiments emphasizing on the operating method of i nquiring method. Through concrete examples I analyzed the common types of inquiring teaching. According to the comparing result of the experimental class and the compared class, I introduce the experience in improving the students' interests in learning mathematics, enforcing their subject consciousness, developing their all kinds of mathematics abilities and improving the learning effect o mathematics.
