Since the 1990s, education in China has come into an active period, during which new ideas of education have constantly been brought in and new teaching methods and models have been tried one after another. Among them, inquiring teaching model is a well-informed topic of great influence.Inquiring teaching model is based on the method of inquiring teaching. This method pays special activation to the student participation and their trying. It is a teaching activity investigative creative performed with the guide and help of the teachers, pays special attention to the students' participation and trying. It is an important way to develop the personal character of the Ss to train the ability of the Ss and to improve the quality of the Ss.The present paper uses the literature method, the questionnaire method and the experimental method to state the connotation of high school mathematics inquiring teaching method. It also states the foundation of the theory from the psychology and the pedagogy angle. It has also constructed the general pattern of high school mathematics inquiring teaching method, that is: creating situations--Directional problems -- inquiring and exchanging --Reflection andimproving. And I have carried it out in my teaching practice. Through the analysis of the questionnaire data, comparing the experimental class and the comparison class students' differences in the study interest, the creative ability ,I have proved that it is acceptable to use the inquiring teaching method in the high school mathematics classroom .After the study of some examples, I have analyzed some common types of the high school mathemat ics inquiring teaching method. I summarized my experience and studied the prerequisites of how to carry out the inquiring teaching method in class . The problem is the beginning. Observation and experiment is an effective means . Logical reasoning and interpretation of reasoning is the principal way. Reflection and exchange is an important link. Finally, I make a suggestion about how to carry out the strategies of inquiring teaching.
