In the new curriculum, the ideal Chinese teaching should be based on the thought that the learners are the principal part in learning. What we should do is to provide a solid base for students to develop fully and individually as well as to arouse their consciousness to learn and increase ability independently.In middle-school Chinese teaching, the research is determined by forming an open system to train the students'learning ability. All the learning activities are student-centered, while the teachers should be regarded as instructors and promoters. This essay holds a positive point on the influence and encouragement between the learners and instructors.The whole essay is made up of three parts:The first part: On the training of ability to learn independently and to learn Chinese independently. After giving the definitions of ability, learning ability and learning independently, the author expressed her understanding on how to develop the ability to learning Chinese independently and the significance to develop it. Training such ability means giving clear-aimed teaching activities according to the students'individualities and characteristics of Chinese. The students get improved in abilities of communication, rating essays and making sense of life sharply through all these activities.
