Starting with the present schools of constructivism, through consolidation of constructivism theory, I got to the innate essence of its view of education, learning, teaching, course and evaluation. But is there a so-called gap between the theory and the middle school teaching practice? Based on the analytical investigation, the fact that the gap does exist has been expounded as well as suggestions on how to shorten the disparity to perfectly combine the theory of constructivism and the middle school maths teaching. Besides, some further approach from the theory and practice is carried out.Theoretically, the theory of constructivism is emphatically integrated. Meanwhile, how constructivism is related to the reform of New Courses and Evaluation is also probed into with the purpose of searching for a base for the teaching reform. The basic conclusion is this: the theory of constructivism applies in human-foundation teaching which can play an important role in the teaching reform.Practically, the theory of constructivism is adopted to carry out teaching experiments and special attention is paid to probing into the model of the maths teaching based on constructivism. What's more, some practical texts are looked into, which profitably help to perfectly combine the theory of constructivism with middle school maths teaching.
