Virtual Learning Community: The Construction Of A Platform Of Growth Of It Teachers

The concept and content of IT curriculum in high schools are brand new. This leads to a radical change in teaching and evaluating. It's a big challenge for IT teachers. And it's a task of great importance and urgence to bring up the teachers to keep up with the development of the curriculum.With the popularization of PC and network, we come up with more brilliant new ideas of teaching teachers via internet. And it is why I do this reach. I try to build up a virtual learning community, and use it as a platform to find a new way to bring up IT teachers. This platform is based on internet, so it has little limit on time and place.In this thesis, I will analyse the role changing of IT teachers and the growth requirement of them. Then 1 will make a study of different ways to bring up IT teachers. By comparing them one and another I will show you how important it is to do this research. I will explain the concept of community, virtual community, and virtual learning community. Then I will try to study the essentials of virtual learning community, and find the theory basis of it. Further more, I will select some successful virtual learning communities from the internet for case studying. So will I study the statistic data of IT teachers. By doing these, I will give my own opinions on how to design a virtual learning community for IT teachers.
