The Construction Of Virtual Learning Community

There is a large number of informal learning in people's daily life, and the virtual learning community is a typical form of informal learning. Building a knowledge-sharing virtual learning community is an important measure in response to the concept of "lifelong learning, citizen learning". In this study, through the analysis of literature concerned with virtual learning community, we builded a framework of virtual learning community which supports for people's informal learning, and in accordance with the framework ,we also build a virtual learning community platform. In particular, the term of construction mentioned in the title of this paper has two points: building the framework of virtual learning community , design and implementation of the commputer program.1. To study on Virtual Learning Community, you can start from the five areas: the environment of virtual learning community, the system development of virtual learning community, the relationship between the users of virtual learning community, the application of virtual learning community for the instruction and the effect of virtual learning community. The environment of virtual learning community includes the concept of virtual learning community, the constitute structure of virtual learning community and the features of virtual learning community. The system development of virtual learning community mainly involved in the technical architecture, design the function module, software development technology, the use of software products, design and develop the learning resources. The relationship between the users of virtual learning community mainly refers to the study of interactive behavior. The application of virtual learning community for the instruction includes the teaching mode and the learning mode,such as instructional design, organize the community, guide activities, and so on. The effect of virtual learning community focuses on the research of evaluation index system.2. The virtual learning community consists of the technical support platform, the interactive space and information. The technical support platform provides the material foundation for the interactive space. Interaction is the existing form for the virtual community, there is no interaction, there was no community. Interaction is the only way to learn from virtual learning community. the ultimate goal of interaction is to promote the growth and transformation of knowledge. Interaction includes self-interaction and social interaction. The social interaction in virtual learning community was completed by the help of the virtual self-image which created by individual himself, and the virtual self-image in the community was achieved by the individual's self-interaction. The interactive space in virtual learning community is composed of the individual space, the social-interactive space and the knowledge space, the three space are interlaced with each other. The growth and transformation process of knowledge is: externalize, discuss, conclude and internalize. Externalize means the learner interpret his minds into words, picture, chart and then show them in the individual space. Discuss means the learners exchange their viewpoint in the social-interactive space. Conclude means the learners summarize their talk in the knowledge space. Internalize means the learner transform the new knowlage into his cognitive schemata.3. The knowledge sharing platform which coded in PHP can be easily integrated into the popular software"UCenter Home"in order to provide more effective technical support for the knowledge space in the virtual community.
