Although project learning is a very bright point in the reform of fundamental education, some educators have had a few wrong ideas about it during the past two years. They (including myself) think that project learning can only be carried out in synthetical practice course .In fact, through a re-research on project learning in the first part, we clearly know it is an entire new teaching method and leaning style. Therefore, it can be carried out in subject education, In the second part, after differing science research and project learning, we understand that project learning used in subject education is a right choose for the training of people of talent who bring forth new ideas .There is an introduction about the use of project learning in English education in the third part. If project learning is carried out in subject education, the results of teaching and learning will be greatly improved. Project learning can help educators to change their teaching methods and improve their educational scientific research abilities .It also can help the students to change their learning styles and improve their spirit of bringing forth new ideas and abilities of practice. Moreover, it can help the teachers to develop an intimate and enduring relationship with students. Thus, a cooperative system will be build up. What's more, developmentally appropriate assessment is mainly used in project learning, this is a conclusion in the fourth part. This kind of assessment is under the rules of development, communication, cooperation, student center and all-round way, so it can encourage the students better and exploit the different intelligence of the students better in order to make them fully and healthily grow.
