Class advisor is one of the most important influential factors in the student's growth process. If the enlightened process is going smoothly, it will have a great help in the students' growth. As a Class advisor, educator and organizer, the Class advisor's quality is a vital factor to condition the quality of education, the standard of school management, and even the future development of the school.The essential condition of technology and economic development is "Brain". To a great extend, the development of Macau is based on the brains' quality and cultivation. Now, the Macau Government pays more and more attention to the brains cultivation. In order to bring up more professionals to serve the society, the schools and the Bureau of Education of Macau (DSEJ) try to raise the Class advisors' quality. To have higher quality teachers, to have better brains. Also, they also have some tasks: to improve the efficiency of class management, to innovate the education in Macau and to advance the quality of education. The main purpose of this research is to confer the exist problems and the improvement tactics of the class management in Macau high schools.The research method is the questionnaire survey. The total samples are 280 teachers of 17 schools. The number of valid returned questionnaires is 167, which is 92.8% of the total samples.The questionnaire is the tool of this research, which is only for the class advisors of Macau high school. There are 48 questions about the works of class advisors and the variations of the background of them. The researcher conducts the statistical data analysis through "Mean", "T-Test", "One-Way Anova", "Reliablity Analysis" by using SPSS 10.0 for windows.The conclusions of the class advisors in Macau high schools:1. The average mark of agreement is medium and up.2. The Class advisors have agreement tendency.3. Most teachers give their assent to "Class advisor responsibility", " Class advisor quality"and "the management method".4. For "the Class advisor quality", most teachers agree that the Class advisors should have good moral character.For "the school work", most Class advisors agree that their job should cooperate to the future development of the school.For "the teacher responsibility", most Class advisors agree that they are overload with strenuous duties.For "the teacher satisfaction", most Class advisors give their assent to the close relationship with the students.For "the support", most Class advisors agree that the parents support is better than the schools' support.For "the management method", most Class advisors agree that the Class advisors should give the guidance and encouragement to the students.For "the student problem", most Class advisors agree that the students do not have clear goal to study, they don't have good marks, they lack of responsibility, discipline and they spend too much time to play computer games. The students lack of responsibility is the most influential factor.For "the administration", most Class advisors agree that the school's expectation to the students makes them feel stress.For "the time", most Class advisors agree that they don't have enough time to handle the class work due to the extra duties.According to the conclusions above, the researcher suggests: Firstly, the Bureau of Education of Macau should constitute the teacher assessment as soon as possible. Secondly, the school should alleviate the teachers' burden, to achieve the class management system, to set up the professional development mechanism, to improve the co-operation with school, parents and teachers. Lastly, the Class advisors should improve their qualification constantly, to improve the management method continuously, and to set up good relationship with the students.
