As teacher education develops, it has obtained great achievement and met with a larger challenge. Teacher education also highlights its irregularity gradually: Teacher education become rigid and out-of-date from system to the contents; the income and devotion margin obviously under the system of Teacher education; Teachers have few channels and contents to learn; Teacher's wish and aggressive of learning are low. All the problems not only restrict the development of education, but also constrained the teacher's professional development. As life long learning and learning society popular, Teacher also ineluctably need learning and developing, and need to be aggressively learning, to promote himself (herself) to develop, to satisfy the request of society. Because of such background, and based in many problems of "teacher education". There has appeared the shift from "teacher education" to "teacher learning" in abroad, but there is no definite study in our country. According to this background, this paper put forward the research topic "teacher learning". The initial purpose is to expect the true learning in the field of "teacher learning", closely concern and begin with this research object, and study the each basic aspect of "teacher learning" on the system. The entire object is to explore real "learning" that promote teacher professional development.Within this viewpoint, this paper mainly launches from the two main parts: the first part is analysis and investigate the basic theories of "teacher learning"; the second analyze the status quo of "teacher learning". The research of theory and practice can repair with each other, and can get the inspiration mutually.At the first part, this paper primarily analyzes the background of "teacher learning", and introduces the need, change and development of society and education. Then make a systematic study on "teacher learning" from the technical term and conception. This paper spanned from contents, path and the support aspects. About the contents of "teacher learning", this paper analyzes how teacher should choose the content of learning. I put forward the method of "the target has full control, the standard filter". About the learning path, this paper overviews and analyzes the research in the history of china and abroad, and emphasis an important path—reflective learning. As to the support of teacher learning, this paper mainly studies the environment construction of teacher learning, introducing four kinds of learning environment- learner center, knowledge center, the evaluation center and learning community center, and I introduce a kind of forward-looking learning environment—learning community center.At the second part, this paper proceeds with the method of questionnaire, with the investigate object of the teachers of primary schools in two cities, with analytical description, with the main purpose to understand the present condition of teacher learning. The whole inquisition mainly carries on from five aspects: The first is the request and organization of the school; the second is the teacher's motive and need; the third is that how teacher understand teacher learning and what the learning path is; the fourth is teacher' s learning status; and the fifth is whatthe learning they are expecting.Total to say, this paper try to make a trial commences from the basic aspects such as concept, content, path, contents and strategy etc. To tidy up and investigate "teacher learning", and find the present status and existent problems at the base of practice and inquisition, the study also makes a contrast research to the developed city and the developing city.
