It is generally acknowledged that studying environment is a place where a student can carry out flexible explorations and spontaneous learning. With the popularization and application of the modern information technology based on the multi-media technology and internet technology in the field of education, new understandings of studying environment have been born. People have proposed many intriguing opinions. Synthesizing various scholars' ideas of studying environment, I propose that internet studying environment is the situation and conditions in which learners can conduct their learning activities constantly within a internet environment. It contains five elements: internet facilities learning resources, supportive platform, teaching modes and strategies and personal relations (affections). The former three elements are the material basis while the rest are non-material conditions. This article has investigated the internet learning environment in Beijing key senior vocational schools and got a clear picture of the basic information of the internet learning environment at the present in this city. Then, through analyzing and close study, it has summarized the advantages and disadvantages of the current internet learning environment development of senior vocational schools so as to provide reasonable suggestions for governmental decisions. Results from this survey can be concluded as follows: 1, the material conditions of internet learning environment are adequate but still with room for future improvement. 2, learning resources of internet learning are in short, and the width and depth of its application are limited, so emphasis on this development and construction should be made. 3, although a teaching supportive system has been established, technical personals are not enough with a relatively low technical competence. And technical levels of both the teachers and students need be enhanced. 4, Despite the fact that many schools have conducted beneficial trials into the study of teaching strategies and teaching modes in the internet learning environment, all the trials are still at the very beginning stage. 5,Education administrative departments should enforce its instruction and organization of the informationalization construction in vocational schools, the training of information technology to technical staff, teachers and students, and improve the overall study capability and level of in formationalized teaching.Research methodology: Literature survey, interviews and investigations.Results: a thesisConclusion: Senior vocational schools in Beijing have already been equipped with adequate material conditions of internet learning environment construction, so they need turn their focus to the development of internet learning resources to train the information competence of both teachers and students, conduct reform studies of teaching modes in internet learning environment; besides, education administrative departments should strengthen their instructions and organization of informationalization construction of vocational schools. With the joint efforts of all parties mentioned above, a well-functioning internet learning environment can be set up.
