The purpose of this study was to confirm the construct of the teacher's job satisfaction in Guangdong Province and to develop the Teacher Job Satisfaction Scale in Guangdong Province on the basis of the Teacher Job Satisfaction Scale in Guangzhou.More than 1000 teachers in 38 middle schools in 10 cities in Guangdong Province were surveyed in two pre-tests. Exploratory factor analysis was used to analyze the data of the first pre-test. The result found that the teacher's job satisfaction in Guangdong Province consisted of 7 factors and total variance explained was 47.771%. Cluster analysis and confirmatory factor analysis were used to analyze the data of the second pre-test. The conclusion confirmed that the teacher's job satisfaction in Guangdong Province was a one-order seven factors model and the goodfit indices were acceptable. X~2/df and RMSEA were 1.717 and 0.052 respectively,and NNFI and CFI were 0.81 and 0.82 respectively. Seven factors were leadership & management, working condition & resource, occupation identification, payment & gain, students & their parents, colleague relationship and work pressure. The final instrument contained 56 items and had good reliability and validity. a coefficient of the total scale was 0.9007 and a coefficient of 7 subscales were between 0.7574 and 0.8504. There was a significant correlation between the total scale score and the criterion item score, and the correlation coefficient was 0.551.The teacher's job satisfaction in Guangdong Province included the 6 factors of the teacher's job satisfaction in Guangzhou. Moreover, it comprised the factor "students & their parents". The result discovered that the colleague relationship was the most satisfied and the work pressure was the most dissatisfied with the teachers both in Guangdong Province and Guangzhou. Furthermore, the teachers with the higher rank and teaching in better school perceived more work pressure, and the Zhujia Delta and scientist/art teachers had more work pressure than others.
