The thesis mainly adopts ethnography research to describe and analyze the student'sschool life world of a vocational school in Beijing. The author goes into details about the school life of some student's group, and displaysthe school life disciplined thoroughly, which is based on the description of the discipline onthe students by the school and the class, of the student culture, of the attitude on knowledge ofthe student, and of all kinds of the students' conducts. In this vocational school, the schooland the class have worked out a series of trivial rules to train the students' conducts by thecontrol of the time to the students, strength over the students' action and rundown oftheir body. The controlling and the correcting on the students' appearances and posesare going into the school's everyday life, and the school supervises the students'actions at any moment. On the basic of description and analysis on this thesis, we can draw a conclusionthat the discipline on the students is the character of the vocational school, and thestudents is forced to obey the all school's orders, and a student is looked as the "good"student, whatever its skill is. At the end of the thesis, the author have been put to theintrospect on the school experience of the student, and the author hopes that it willbring about more concern from the school, the teacher and the researchers ineducational field.
